In my previous post, I shared that I couldn’t wait for you to meet Daniel and Lennon and see what happens when they don’t give up, when they sit in the truth, and when they collide, tragically and beautifully, and make something new.
And here we are.
Collision entered the universe on August 24th, 2026, after existing first, and for a long time, as a persistent thought I’d have in quiet moments until it eventually shifted into whispers in the dark with my husband as we held hands before sleep, or when we sat outside and looked up at the stars, and eventually became words on a page.
Daniel and Lennon take a journey into the darkest parts of their souls, exploring truths they never wanted to say out loud, and being seen and known in ways that are exquisitely painful and healing.
Collision tells the story of two flawed human beings doing the best they can with the information they have as they crawl through the depths of hell and take turns pulling each other toward the light.
They are deeply traumatized.
They make big mistakes.
They are supposed to.
The whole point of the EVERLYVERSE is that these characters are loved for who they are, in their wholeness, as they navigate complex trauma, and they don’t have to be perfect or earn it.
This book asks some difficult questions:
Do we ever really know the person we’re dating?
Has our perception distorted our life story?
How far would you go to keep a secret?
Can we ever really escape our past?
And most importantly…
What would you do if you suddenly realized everything you thought you knew about your life and the world around you was wrong and nothing felt right except the one person you should absolutely stay away from?
Whether your trauma has been witnessed by the world and ignored, or buried so deeply that you no longer know who you are, this book is for you.
I put off publishing it for a while because I wasn’t sure it could find its audience. Collision is an emotional romance, dark at times, and painfully bittersweet at others, and sometimes wildly spicy and heartbreakingly beautiful, but there are challenging moments, excruciating, complex trauma, and raw internal thoughts that the world often times struggles to hold.
But I know that Daniel and Lennon’s story was the one I needed to read at 18, 22, 28, and every year after that.
Writing this book healed me in ways I did not know were possible.
For me, and hopefully for you, it is a reminder that what happened to you is not your whole story, and that turning the page and writing a new chapter doesn’t mean you are ignoring your past pains and lessons—it’s simply the collision of paper and pen to start something new.
